St. Ninian’s Church, Troon

We have a vacancy for the part-time position of Hall Caretaker.

This is a role reporting to the Hall Convenor where there is flexibility in when the hours are worked, which is often determined by events taking place in the Hall and adjoining areas. It would normally require a commitment of 6 hrs per week but can be more on occasions agreed by the Hall Convenor. We are seeking someone who is able to commence work at the end of March 2022.

SOUTH AYRSHIRE FOOD BANK
St Ninian’s will be collecting food donations on Sunday 6 March and your donations should be placed in  the boxes at the back of the church.  The Foodbank are always grateful for all the donations they receive but there are some items they are running low on. Therefore when you consider your next donations for next Sunday they would be particularly grateful for UHT milk, small packets of tea bags, small bottles of diluting juice, tinned custard, jam, dried pasta, pasta sauce, breakfast cereal and tinned mince/stew/cold meat.

The School Holidays always put extra pressure on the Foodbank and they are currently very low on many of their tinned items. Remember you can bring items and leave them in the boxes in church on the First Sunday of each month, but if you wish to donate in-between times there are collecting points in the Library and Morrison’s.

The Foodbank Hub is open at Troon Old Parish Church on Tuesdays and Fridays from 12 noon – 2.00pm More details of local community services can be found on the Troon Churches Together page.
