THE STORY SO FAR

St. Ninian’s began the process of Mission Action Planning on Sunday 27th April when our Facilitator will address the congregation at the 8.00am and 10.30am Services.  She also addressed the Wednesday 10.00am Service on 30 April. The Facilitator comes with a special remit from the Bishop to assist us in our efforts to prayerfully engage in reflecting on our mission to date and to consider what God might be inviting us to do as we plan our activities for the next 3 – 5 years.  She does not come with a blueprint but with a number of tools to assist us in trying to discern God’s purpose for us and our life together.  It is hoped that everyone will respond to her request to participate in the process with an open and generous heart.

The Congregational Review took place on Saturday 17th May when members of the congregation had an opportunity to look at the six stands of the Mission Action Plan and identify our strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for each of them.

A Working Group was formed and discussions take place over the summer before a  second Congregational Meeting on Saturday 25 October to agree our Action Plan.  This was then formally signed on Sunday 15th February and will now go to the Bishop.  The Bishop will then join us in a year’s time to review our plans.
